1. Summary

The last letter Friedrich entrusted to Hamish, kept in a safe in the mansion. Unlike the first letter, it is emotionally intense and insistent, and it urges Edmund to put on the Skull Helmet.

2. Text

The letter may include language such as:

"My son, you have seen what I have seen. You know what they found. You know what this world is. Please, do not turn away now. You have to put on the Helmet. You know I'm right."

The precise final wording remains to be written.

3. Context

Unlike the first letter, the final letter is emotionally intense and increasingly insistent.

By this point, Friedrich expects Edmund to know enough about Schwarzwald, the Skull Helmet, and the experiments to understand the implications of his request.

Friedrich directly advocates the use of the Skull Helmet.

He urges Edmund to accept his interpretation.

The important distinction is that the first letter is restrained, while the last approaches desperate certainty.

Friedrich believes that his children also deserve the redemption he associates with the Skull Helmet.

He regards the experience as necessary despite the suffering involved.

This conviction is sincere within his transformed worldview.

The game never confirms whether it is correct.

4. Gameplay

Before his death, Hamish reveals that Friedrich entrusted him with a final letter.

He provides Edmund with the safe's combination.

The letter is stored inside.

The revelation changes the meaning of an object that may have been visible throughout the game.
