1. Summary
A transcript of an internal discussion in which two D6 researchers argue over whether the Skull Helmet reorganizes the brain or acts on consciousness itself.

D6 RESEARCH DIVISION — INTERNAL DISCUSSION TRANSCRIPT
RESEARCHER A: "You are confusing a neurological catastrophe with a metaphysical revelation. The artifact reorganizes the brain. The experiences follow."
RESEARCHER B: "That is your assumption. You have no evidence that the experiences are merely consequences of the neural changes."
RESEARCHER A: "We have recordings of their cerebral activity."
RESEARCHER B: "You have recordings of electrical and magnetic activity. You do not have recordings of consciousness."
RESEARCHER A: "And you think this object directly alters consciousness?"
RESEARCHER B: "I think it acts on something our current models of consciousness do not account for."
RESEARCHER A: "That is not an explanation."
RESEARCHER B: "Neither is calling the phenomenon neurological dysfunction and pretending the problem has been solved."
RESEARCHER A: "You have spent too much time studying this thing."
RESEARCHER B: "And you have spent too much time assuming that everything worth discovering will fit inside a textbook."

3. Context
The exchange is an example of the type of archival debate the player may discover. Researcher A speaks for the Neural Reorganization Hypothesis and Researcher B for the Phenomenal Remapping Hypothesis.
This exchange illustrates the disagreement without establishing either position as correct.
4. Gameplay
The materials the D6 research environments may contain are described with the artifact. Where in D6 this transcript is found is not defined.
