2. Text

EMERGENCY POWER INTERLOCK — SECURITY WARNING

THREE ATTEMPTS PERMITTED.

THIRTY-SECOND AUTHORIZATION WINDOW.

INCORRECT AUTHORIZATION OR EXPIRATION OF THE TIME LIMIT WILL RESULT IN PERMANENT DESTRUCTION OF THE CONTROL ASSEMBLY.

REPAIR REQUIRES SPECIALIZED TECHNICAL PERSONNEL.

3. Context

The interlock assembly was deliberately isolated during the evacuation.

The interlock that displays the warning is described with the device, and the purpose of its mechanism with the facility's security. See: Artifacts and Technology › A2 Emergency Generator And Interlock

See: Places › A2 — Power And Utilities Complex

4. Gameplay

The warning is displayed before the player begins the interaction with the secured mechanical interlock assembly in the A2 Auxiliary Power Facility, during the main quest of Chapter Five. The player reaches the interlock by following the emergency power line identified in the engineering blueprint.

It states the rules the mechanism enforces. Failing them destroys the control assembly and permanently disables the D2–D3 elevator for the remainder of that campaign.
