1. Summary

The computing technologies of D4: experimental hybrid computers combining digital and analog processing, sophisticated neural networks, early quantum computing experiments, and the technology known as Analog Brains. These breakthroughs made Schwarzwald's autonomous robots possible, and the Analog Brain program produced the artificial intelligence Amanda.

2. Origin

D4's scientists developed these technologies. D4, dedicated to artificial intelligence, robotics, advanced computing, and automation, became one of the facility's most energy-intensive research divisions.

3. Nature and Properties

D4's scientists developed experimental hybrid computers combining digital and analog processing, sophisticated neural networks, early quantum computing experiments, and the technology known as Analog Brains.

The computer chambers that house them are described with the level. Its geopolitical prediction project used enormous computing systems.

4. History and Custody

These breakthroughs eventually enabled the development of autonomous maintenance robots, security machines, and heavily armored robotic soldiers.

Amanda, an advanced stationary artificial intelligence, was developed through the Analog Brain program within the facility's hybrid computing research. The installation's departments maintained controlled exchanges of research, and D6's Memetic Engineering Department received certain findings from D4, including information concerning Amanda.
